Working Holiday Visas
Passport Holders between the ages of 18 and 30 from the following countries can obtain Working Holiday Visas:
United Kingdom, Ireland, Holland, Germany, Belgium, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland; Italy and France, Cyprus, Malta, Canada, Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, Estonia, Taiwan, Indonesia, and Malaysia.
Working Holiday Visa application forms are available on line at www.immi.gov.au - It is form 1150 that you need.
The Australian Government Department of Immigration is in consultation with several other countries and additions to the list above will be posted when announced.
Work and Holiday Visas
This is the 462 Visa and works in a similar way to the 417 - but young people from some countries need to get a form of permission from their government before applying. It is for one year and people from the following countries may apply:
Turkey, Thailand, USA and Chile. (Those from the USA should already be a high school graduate or have some form of tertiary qualification or experience.)
